Triathlete and ski mountaineer

Biography

My name is Jan Rasmus Rohtla and I am a 22-year-old triathlete, ski mountaineer and content creator. For the past five years I have been dedicated to endurance sports and have represented myself successfully in triathlon, duathlon and running competitions.

My achievements include participation in Estonian Championships in triathlon, duathlon and cross-country running, numerous running and skiing competitions including the Tartu Maraton, and I have won a junior silver medal at the Estonian Championships in standard distance triathlon.

Today I stand at an important developmental stage in my athletic career. My main goal for the coming years is to qualify for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in the M18–24 age group, one of the most competitive age groups in the entire series. At the same time I continue to compete in Estonian triathlons with the aim of reaching podium places and raising my athletic level before focusing on longer distances. In the long term I want to combine triathlon endurance with mountain sport experience to reach Europe's toughest extreme triathlons and compete for high places there. My athletic dream is to earn the legendary Norseman Xtreme Triathlon black finisher shirt, one of the most valued achievements in the extreme triathlon community.

Realising this journey requires significant investments in training, competitions, travel, equipment and entry fees. Therefore I am looking for partners who want to support the development of an ambitious Estonian athlete and be part of his journey to international level.

I document the training, the races and the everyday work that goes into building an endurance athlete. Follow along on Instagram and Strava for updates from both seasons.
